Salt scrubs and some sugar scrubs are abrasive and burn a little after shaving but not this scrub. I really like it and my only complaint (which isn't even an issue) is that I have to rinse the edges of my shower after to get some of the black specks down the drain.
I love the formula for the foaming scrubs and this scent is amazing!
